Sr. Internal Auditor

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Three [3] years’ experience with a publicly traded corporation or public accounting firm, with audit and/or oil and gas sector experience preferred.
• Highly developed attention to detail with ability to multi-task and adapt to changing requirements and tight timelines
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to travel, domestically, up to 15%.
• Experience in testing of internal controls under Sarbanes-Oxley
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills to support effective interaction with all levels of the organization
• Highly-proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with electronic workpapers (AuditBoard, Workiva or equivalent)
• Examples of written communications
• Professional references
• Vision sufficient to read computer screens, reports and related documents
• Hearing sufficient to hear oral instructions at normal conversation levels
• Speech sufficient to communicate in person and over the telephone
• Dexterity sufficient to operate computers and other related office equipment
• Endurance sufficient to maintain efficiency throughout the entire workday

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• One or more professional certifications (in decreasing order of preference: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner).
