Process Safety Staff ES&H Specialist
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, or a related degree program, is required.
- In-depth knowledge of process safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA, API, etc.).
- Experience conducting process hazard analyses (PHA) and risk assessments, using techniques such as HAZOP, LOPA, and QRA.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and assess process safety risks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with process safety-related software tools and technologies.
- Strong understanding of gas processing processes, equipment, and operations.
- Ability to organize and work self-sufficiently given direction and resources.
- Intermediate level desktop computer skills using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
- Ability to travel overnight periodically, as needed.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Minimum 8+ years of process safety experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and a plant environment.
- Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
- Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protections, safety-toed footwear, flame resistant clothing, respirator, etc.).
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, handle, or feel, and reach with hands or arms.
- Driving short and long distances within congested roadways and rural areas.
