Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, PowerBI, SharePoint, Maximo, and Oracle.
  • Well-balanced interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • Must be accountable and take directions from Managers/Supervisors; keep required work schedules, which include regular and predictable job attendance; focus attention on details.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
  • Must be a problem solver with the ability to find solutions.

  • If needed, coordinate the work of several contractors and field personnel at once.

Preferred Experience / Specific Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of typical pipeline material defects/threats and ability to identify (coating holidays, corrosion, mechanical damage, cracks, wrinkles, etc)
  • Understanding of pipeline in-line inspection tools used to assess the integrity of pipelines and pipeline remediation and repair methods.
  • Knowledge of in-ditch pipeline inspection and assessment technologies (Guided Wave, Ultrasonics, Pit and Dent gauges, Creaform/laser scanning, Eddy Current, etc)
  • Knowledge of pipeline repair methods (Cutouts, Type A and B welded sleeves, Composite Repairs, Mechanical repair sleeves)
  • Knowledge of 49 CFR 192/195, ASME B31.4 and B31.8, and ASME and NACE standards.
  • Full complement of project management skills including project scoping and estimating, cost and schedule control, team building, resource planning and permitting.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize pipeline construction drawings and alignment sheets.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline fabrication and construction techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general pipeline industry operations.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills.

Educational Requirements:

  • Engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE) a plus but not required.
  • Non-degreed personnel based on experience.
  • 7+ years coordinating pipeline integrity projects preferred
