Pipeline Integrity Engineer/Specialist
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
- Well-balanced interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
- Must be accountable and take directions from Managers/Supervisors; keep required work schedules, which include regular and predictable job attendance; focus attention on details.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential.
- Must be a problem solver with the ability to find solutions.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction.
- Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Must have strong diplomacy skills, demonstrating the ability to professionally represent the organization, build relationships and negotiate in the best interest of the Company.
- Must be detail oriented and can review and proof work of others to ensure accuracy.
- Non-supervisory but expected to take leadership roles in projects.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Comprehensive knowledge of general pipeline industry operations.
- Understanding of pipeline in-line inspection tools used to assess the integrity of pipelines and pipeline remediation and repair methods.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn Inline Inspection vendor software packages
- Knowledge of hydrostatic testing of pipelines.
- Knowledge of 49 CFR 192/195, ASME B31.4 and B31.8, and ASME and NACE standards.
- Knowledge of Pipeline Risk methods (Qualitative, Relative, SME, Quantitative)
- Working knowledge of pipeline fabrication and construction techniques.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
EDUCATION:
- Engineering degree
- Professional Engineer (PE) a plus but not required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) a plus but not required.
- Non-degreed personnel based on experience.
- Data analyst, Integrity Specialist
- 3+ years’ experience
