Administrator – Learning Management System (LMS)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Targa has an immediate opening for an ES&H Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist as a team member of the ES&H Training group.
This position will office in Houston TX or Tulsa OK and will report to the Manager, ES&H Training.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1.) Oversee and maintain the ES&H Departments Learning Management System (LMS) that will meet all regulatory compliance needs and ensure data accuracy and integrity, with duties including but not limited to:
- Configuration of the ES&H learning management system domain, training records and associated templates to ensure training documentation is complete by data entry or other methods.
- Creates/publishes/archives online/instructor-led courses, training curricula, and maintains system parameters.
- Actively interacts with other systems teams to help administer the LMS and third-party content, user accounts, and maintain security roles and access levels.
- Maintains data integrity rules and processes for the LMS, such as course descriptions, course or class changes, and instructors.
- Provides training and technical support to users, supervisors, administrators, and others who interact with the learning management system.
- Manage and execution of planning and course creation within the LMS.
- Generates, analyzes, and distributes data reports to the Training Committee, departments, and other staff, as needed; and
2.) Lead designing٫ developing٫ coordinating and reporting of corporate and local safety training programs, with duties including but not limited to:
- Lead and develop training plans and schedules, designing and developing training programs (outsourced and/or internal) (Specialized, Annual, role based ESH Training)
- Lead in development and execution of Training Management Standards and Process Maps
- Lead in the development, preparation and coordination for Compliance Training, Safety Topics, Monthly Safety Training Material, and specialized or site-specific training.
- Monitors and evaluates day-to-day progress towards training objectives, and timely project completion.
- Ensures training stakeholders are informed of the status of their training projects, including implementation, updates, and changes, and assisting with training course management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree (4 year) or higher in Education, Training, or related technical field.
- 6 or more years relevant experience without a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
- Education or work-related experience in training or another related field.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms along with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques.
- Working knowledge and prior experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training initiatives.
- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
- Interpersonal communication skills are required to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
- An organized and detail-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work self-sufficiently given direction and resources.
- Ability to think critically, solve problems independently and exercise excellent judgment and common sense.
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision.
- Intermediate computer skills (Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors LMS.
- Experience in content creation tools.
- Previous experience in a Safety and health role with knowledge of applicable regulations in addition, agencies such as OSHA.
- Experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
