Transportation Dispatcher
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years prior dispatch or truck scheduling experience
Adept at using Microsoft Excel; comfortable with creating new spreadsheets and familiar with pivot tables
Proficient with all other Microsoft applications including word, PowerPoint and outlook
- Able to work independently and be self-directed
Able to multi-task and be self-motivated to perform tasks working in a solo environment
- High communication skills both written and verbal
Be willing to work OVERNIGHT in a rotating 4 nights on, 4 nights off schedule with 12.5 hour shifts (specific times to be determined), 365 days of the year and will require coverage on holidays and weekends.
Be willing to provide occasional holiday coverage for teammates
Please note: training for this role will be during the dayshift. Length of training time will vary based on experience.
4 year degree in Business or Logistics from an accredited University
Experience with Truck Management Software (Chorus Logistics and GeoTab)
Previous experience with hazardous material logistics management & scheduling
Prior experience with crude, condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and vacuum truck fluid operations
Previous experience with Texas DOT rules and regulations including driver qualification files
