Transportation Dispatcher

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 2 years prior dispatch or truck scheduling experience

• Adept at using Microsoft Excel; comfortable with creating new spreadsheets and familiar with pivot tables

• Proficient with all other Microsoft applications including word, PowerPoint and outlook

• Able to work independently and be self-directed

• Able to multi-task and be self-motivated to perform tasks working in a solo environment

• High communication skills both written and verbal

• Be willing to work OVERNIGHT in a rotating 4 nights on, 4 nights off schedule with 12.5 hour shifts (specific times to be determined), 365 days of the year and will require coverage on holidays and weekends.

• Be willing to provide occasional holiday coverage for teammates

Please note:  training for this role will be during the dayshift.  Length of training time will vary based on experience.

• 4 year degree in Business or Logistics from an accredited University

• Experience with Truck Management Software (Chorus Logistics and GeoTab)

• Previous experience with hazardous material logistics management & scheduling

• Prior experience with crude, condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and vacuum truck fluid operations

• Previous experience with Texas DOT rules and regulations including driver qualification files
