MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctorate, licensed to practice law in Texas or Oklahoma (or can become immediately eligible to be admitted to the State Bar of Texas/Oklahoma)
- 4 – 10 years of legal experience, with substantial law firm experience preferred
- Strong academic background
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, legal analysis, drafting, and negotiation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic legal environment and respond quickly to commercial demands
- Commercial, pragmatic, and flexible approach, and ability to quickly grasp complex commercial arrangements
- Willingness to provide or experience providing legal advice to senior level business leaders
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with clients at all levels
- Proven track record as a team player
- Team attitude that no job is too big or too small
- Thrives in an environment where you need to roll-up your sleeves and own outcomes.
- Ability to strike sensible and practical balance between legal risks and the need to do business

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience negotiating and drafting various midstream agreements related to natural gas, natural gas liquids, and/or other petroleum products, including agreements for the gathering, transportation (by pipeline, rail, motor carrier, and/or marine vessel), storage, terminalling, fractionation and/or processing of such products, as well as pipeline interconnect agreements, access agreements, and real estate agreements
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including due diligence activities
- Basic understanding of Federal and state regulation of common carrier natural gas liquids or petroleum liquid pipelines
- Negotiating, drafting, and/or administering joint venture agreements
