Senior Technical Recruiter

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Technical Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including requisition and job description development, strategic talent sourcing, candidate screening and evaluation, and offer management. Additionally, this role will provide market intelligence to inform hiring decisions and enhance understanding of industry trends.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the full recruitment process from requisition intake, developing job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer negotiations, and onboarding across various business lines, with a strong focus on Technical Field Operations, Engineering and Construction across our operating regions
Identify and source candidates for open positions from targeted recruiting platforms, applicant tracking systems, direct sourcing, industry / professional organizations, networking, etc.
Collaborate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to identify skill gaps and workforce needs, ensuring alignment with Targa’s objectives
Establish and build strong business relationships with the hiring managers to successfully understand their business, build sourcing solutions and provide excellent customer service
Ensure all job requisitions are completed accurately and that the job description and minimum essential requirements are consistent with the business function/discipline and requirements for posting.
Conduct timely screening of resumes and assist the Hiring Managers with any prescreening / recruiting needs throughout the staffing process
Provide clear, actionable updates to HR team and management to achieve recruiting results
Establish, grow, and maintain relationships with technical schools, military sources, industry / professional organizations, etc. to build staffing resources as needed
Leverage recruitment analytics to identify trends, optimize hiring workflows, and improve candidate experience from application through onboarding
Serve as an ambassador of the organization by effectively communicating Targa’s value to attract high-caliber talent.
Engage with prospective candidates and industry professionals at recruiting events, networking functions, and forums to strengthen market knowledge and presence
Work with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and HR Coordinator to assist with the offer and on-boarding process once a candidate has been identified
Manages recruitment vendors as needed for assistance to fill roles
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field
10+ years recruiting experience, in the oil & gas / energy industry, preferably in Midstream
Proven track record of driving recruitment using effective recruiting strategy, on-line resources, networking and competitor sourcing
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, identify key issues, and develop thoughtful, data-informed solutions that align with business objectives
Must possess a deadline oriented and hands-on approach to recruiting with demonstrated ability to achieve recruiting goals in a timely manner
Strong sense of urgency with excellent verbal/written communications
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with management and sourcing resources
Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external customers and management at various levels of an organization
Attention to detail
Strong customer services skills
Ability to travel as needed (to include overnight trips) to attend recruiting events
Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to work well within a team environment
Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience recruiting Technical Field Operations, Engineering and Construction in oil & gas/energy industry
Experience with ATS and HRIS systems
Previous military and technical school hiring experience
