Project Manager Engineer - Field Facilities

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is for a project management and engineering role on the Delaware Basin Field Facilities team, with main responsibilities including project execution, operations support, and facility optimization.
- Manage and execute engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring designs meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support to operations (including troubleshooting, debottlenecking and optimization, maintenance projects, PHA participation and action item resolution, DOT compliance, etc.)
- Develop scope of work/for-bid packages for engineering, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Track/forecast costs and milestone schedules and regularly communicate progress to project stakeholders.
- Possess working knowledge of hazardous liquid and gas pipeline systems, including gathering, transmission, pump stations, compressor stations, pigging facilities, and mainline appurtenances.
- Possess knowledge of midstream process controls and instrumentation, including controls narratives and cause & effect matrices.
- Possess fundamental knowledge of midstream gas processing operations, including pig liquids handling, compression, glycol and desiccant dehydration, treating, hydrocarbon recovery, acid gas injection, nitrogen removal, and condensate stabilization
- Size and specify mechanical equipment, including separators, filters, tanks, heat exchangers, air coolers, pumps, compressors, treaters, and dehydrators. Select appropriate piping materials, diameters, and thicknesses to meet design requirements. Size and specify relief devices, control valves, and regulators.
- Interpret and design Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Plot Plans, Piping Plans, and Piping Isometrics
- Support right-of-way acquisition, permitting, land agreements, and environmental coordination in partnership with Land/ROW, Regulatory, and Environmental teams.
- Continuously review assets to enhance safety, mechanical reliability, operational flexibility, and capacity.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from 4-year accredited university
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as project engineer and/or process engineer in natural gas compressor stations, processing plants, construction, and/or operations.
- Project management skills including budget tracking, forecasting, accruals, and project schedule development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, Project, and Power BI
- Ability and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 years of experience as project engineer and/or process engineer in natural gas compressor stations, processing plants, construction, and/or operations.
- Experience with acid gas handling and process equipment.
- Process simulation and pipeline modeling experience with PROMAX,
- Experience with rotating equipment.
- Understanding of Change Management Process (MOC)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project
- 5+ year of experience in project engineering, process engineering and/or project management
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines, including eye protection, footwear, hard hat, and fire retardant clothing (FRC)
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions and plant/field environments
- Ability to work in close quarters, while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
