Operations Training Specialist
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Energy/Operations Management, or related field preferred
Experience:
· 3-5 years previous experience in training coordination and development or related roles within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of industrial regulations, standards, and best practices
· Experience in developing and delivering training programs and materials.
Technical Knowledge:
· Understanding of industrial procedures, hazard identification, and risk assessment techniques.
· Knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and tools commonly used in the industry.
· Awareness of emergency response protocols, including evacuation procedures, and safety critical equipment.
Skills/Competencies:
· Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
· Exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
· Proficiency in conducting training sessions and workshops for both small and large groups.
· Knowledge in instructional design, learning management systems (LMS), and e-learning platforms.
· Critical thinking skills to assess potential risks and develop appropriate training solutions.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives.
· Strong leadership skills to motivate and influence employees in a results-oriented environment.
· Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, and maintenance.
· Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
· Regular and reliable attendance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs.
· Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
· Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
· Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex)
· Work generally performed in an industrial environment (indoor or outdoor) with various hazards and noise exposure.
