Multimedia Learning Designer
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Targa is seeking a creative and technically skilled Multimedia Learning Designer to support the Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) department. This role is responsible for designing and developing engaging, learner centered training using multimedia rich approaches across ILT, eLearning, vILT, and blended formats. The ideal candidate combines strong instructional design capabilities with expertise in video production, graphic design, and audio editing to create high quality learning content. This position collaborates closely with SMEs and stakeholders to define learning objectives, produce compelling storyboards and multimedia assets, and ensure training materials are accurate, modern, and effective.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Design and develop instructional materials for multiple delivery methods, including ILT, eLearning, vILT, and blended learning solutions.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather content, establish learning objectives, and ensure accuracy of training materials.
Apply instructional design best practices to create engaging, learner‑centered content tailored to ES&H needs.
Develop storyboards, scripts, and multimedia assets using tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite to support course content.
Produce and edit high quality training videos, graphics, and audio elements that enhance the learner experience.
Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions as needed.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
Maintain, update, and modernize existing training materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency with current standards.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality expectations.
Stay current with learning technologies, trends, and best practices.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or relevant field
Maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
3+ years of experience in training development or instructional design or similar role.
Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate).
Experience with multimedia production tools (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, Audacity, Photoshop).
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) as an administrator, including creating, editing, testing, and deploying training courses.
Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously.
Ability to make recommendations and guide personnel for optimum learning experience.
Ability to take large amounts of content and organize, prioritize, and formulate a plan to optimize it for effective coursework.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent at managing client expectations and keeping clients updated on projects.
Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Instructional Design Degree
Learning Management System experience
WORK CONDITIONS:
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
Ability to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment.
Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
