Measurement Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
Targa is currently seeking a Measurement Supervisor for our facility located in Mont Belvieu, TX.
The Measurement Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Liquid Measurement Coordinator group. The supervisor will also have the responsibility of ensuring all liquid hydrocarbon measurement data is properly collected, imported, analyzed, and balances accurately produced and reviewed in a timely manner.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Leadership and oversite to the Measurement Coordinators responsible for:
- Reviewing and resolving flow data exceptions
- Closing daily and monthly data
- Generating reports for accounting, marketing, operations, and other stakeholders
- Reviewing and Validating Liquid Quality
- Reviewing Meter reports and adjusting accordingly
- Troubleshooting data related issues with SCADA
- Maintaining and updating measurement coordinator procedures and “Best Practices”
- Working with POPS/IT during upgrades and emergencies
- Reviewing and resolving flow data exceptions
- Provide expertise on data analysis using industry standards for liquid hydrocarbon measurement for: Enterprise measurement systems, (EFM) Electronic Flow Measurement, and primary devices consisting of turbine, ultrasonic, and Coriolis meters.
- Identify and oversee applications and improvements of process changes, procedure development, and audits of internal/external customer requests.
- Develop personnel with regards to editing, validations, and techniques related to setups and reporting.
- Provide coaching on performance including employee evaluations and recommendation of advancement.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education or job-related experience.
- At least two years of leadership experience with coaching and development responsibilities for direct reports.
- Experience with the fundamentals of liquid hydrocarbon measurement and the various metering and data analysis technologies.
- High level of competency working with accounting systems and spreadsheets.
- Experience in teaching and conducting group and individual presentations.
- High level ability to communicate effectively to management, direct reports, field personal, and all stakeholders.
- Regular and reliable attendance
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Mobility to travel to corporate offices, specific field offices, remote metering sites, and other job sites.
- Mobility to travel to industry association meetings and technical conferences and schools.
