JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support all aspects of natural gas and liquid measurement (NGLs, crude oil and condensate) including measurement via pipeline, rail, truck and marine carriers;
  • Provide technical expertise to support measurement equipment and systems used throughout the company;
  • Specify equipment and systems to support projects;
  • Support the measurement information systems;
  • Assist with commissioning and startup of new projects;
  • Support and perform audits of measurement systems;
  • Monitor, evaluate, develop and support volume, mass and energy balances;
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems with measurement equipment;
  • Train and support measurement technicians and other users,
  • Identify improvements, test system modifications and implement system changes;
  • Understand the business processes related to gas plant, pipeline, fractionator and terminal measurement and the related settlement and control activities;
  • Interpret business needs and create solutions to meet those needs;
  • Communicate effectively with other team members (operations, construction, commercial, etc.); and Other projects and tasks as necessary
  • Support gas chromatography systems and related sample conditioning
  •  Other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly spreadsheet (Excel) and database (MS SQL Server, Oracle) applications.
  • Strong interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, team player with a positive and results-oriented attitude.
  • Some overnight travel.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment.
  • Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
  • Regular and Reliable Attendance
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BS in Engineering or related technical degree. Verifiable measurement experience can be substituted.
  • 3+ years of experience with gas and liquid measurement and related measurement technologies and systems.
  • Experience using database systems to retrieve and report data from measurement systems.
