Identity Access Management Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst II supports the day-to-day operation and improvement of identity and access management processes across the organization. This role is responsible for administering user access, supporting identity lifecycle activities, and assisting with access governance and compliance efforts.
The IAM Analyst II works under established standards and procedures, partnering with IT, Security, and Service Desk teams to help protect systems and data from unauthorized access. This role is intended for a mid-level IAM professional with hands-on experience in operational IAM activities and exposure to platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory.
JOB DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Access Provisioning and De-provisioning:
Administer user access requests, approvals, and provisioning activities across supported systems and applications
Ensure access is granted accurately and timely based on job role, business need, and least-privilege principles
Execute de-provisioning activities promptly for employee terminations, transfers, and role changes
Identity Lifecycle Management:
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's user identity lifecycle.
Support identity lifecycle processes including user creation, modification, and removal
Maintain accurate identity and access records across IAM systems
Participate in periodic access reviews and certification activities to support compliance requirements
Access Governance and Compliance:
Assist with access reporting, reviews, and audit requests
Support compliance with internal security policies and applicable regulatory requirements
Identify and escalate access risks, inconsistencies, or policy exceptions as needed
Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
Investigate and resolve access-related incidents, anomalies, or security breaches.
Provide support for access-related issues, working closely with IT support and helpdesk teams.
Implement corrective measures to prevent the recurrence of identified security issues.
IAM Tools and Process Support
Support the ongoing operation and enhancement of IAM tools and platforms
Assist with IAM integrations and configuration changes under guidance from senior staff
Stay current on IAM best practices, tools, and security trends
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Hands-on experience supporting IAM processes or related IT/security functions
Working knowledge of IAM concepts including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews
Familiarity with directory services such as Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID
Basic to intermediate experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell)
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting IAM platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, or similar solutions
Exposure to access governance, audits, or compliance activities
Security certifications such as Security+, SC-300, or Okta certifications
Experience working in regulated or enterprise IT environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills
