POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Representative – Field Support serves as a trusted resource that provides hands‑on execution, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, policy application, frontline leader support and administrative follow-through that keeps HR processes moving smoothly and effectively.

This role will travel to assigned sites, lead and support employee relations matters, and play a visible role in new hire orientation. The ideal candidate is experienced enough to work independently with minimal oversight and is closely connected to employees and core HR operations.


JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, including investigations, performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution.

  • Coach leaders and supervisors on effective employee relations practices, documentation, and risk mitigation.

  • Ensure consistent application of company policies, employment laws, and best practices across locations.

  • Prepare, review, and support corrective action documentation, including written warnings, performance counseling, and related follow-up with supervisors and employees.

  • Maintain accurate and timely employee relations documentation, case notes, corrective action records, and follow-up items to ensure consistency, compliance, and visibility for HR leadership.

  • Partner with Legal or HR leadership on complex or sensitive cases as needed.

  • Coach supervisors on effective documentation, timely issue escalation, consistent policy application, and appropriate communication with employees.

  • Travel regularly to assigned locations to provide onsite HR support where needed.

  • Deliver new hire orientation, ensuring employees clearly understand company culture, policies, benefits, and expectations.

  • Present HR information clearly and confidently to groups of new employees and leaders

  • Support core HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, and HRIS updates.

  • Provide accurate employee record updates timely, including changes related to onboarding, offboarding, job changes, status updates, disciplinary actions, and other employee lifecycle transactions.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring support, interview processes, and manager readiness.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with company and legal standards.

  • Provide guidance on routine HR compliance matters, including attendance, timekeeping, leave administration, policy interpretation, and consistent application of workplace expectations.

  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that improve consistency, efficiency, and employee experience.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a fieldbased, multilocation, or operations environment

  • Proven experience handling employee relations matters with independence and sound judgment

  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to assigned locations

  • Confidence presenting HR topics to groups, including new hire orientations

  • Experience supporting hourly, field-based, shift-based, or operations employees in an industrial, energy, manufacturing, or similar environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make practical decisions with minimal oversight

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust with employees, frontline leaders, and HR leadership

  • Hands-on, approachable style with a willingness to stay visible, engaged, and connected to field employees

  • Ability to balance broader HR perspective with day-to-day execution of core HR responsibilities and administrative follow-through

  • Adaptability to shift between routine HR tasks and complex or sensitive people issues in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to travel regularly across field locations and adjust schedule as needed to support operational needs and employee relations matters

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in employee data and documentation
