MINIMAL ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry or consulting with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or another related field; or
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant environmental compliance experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry or consulting without a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or another related discipline.
  • Knowledge and application of EPA, TCEQ, NMED, OCD or Texas Railroad Commission rules and regulations of the various federal and state agencies having jurisdiction over the Targa facilities.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
  • The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • The ability to work within a collaborative team environment, with demonstrated personal drive and initiative to achieve goals.
  • Interpersonal communication skills are required to interface will all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently given direction and resources.
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems independently and exercise judgement and common sense.
  • Intermediate level desktop computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel away overnight periodically, as needed, for training or company events.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using IBM Maximo and/or Intelex EHS software.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to work in changing ambient conditions and an industrial environment both indoors and outdoors.
  • Able to work in an industrial setting which includes work while walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, sitting, and standing across multiple terrains.
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements (ex: eye protection, footwear, respiratory protection, and flame-resistant clothing).
  • Ability to wear respiratory protection up to and including supplied air apparatus.
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands and arms to complete tasks.
