Environmental Specialist
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related degree program, such as Chemistry
- 3+ years of environmental experience
- General understanding of state and federal regulations that impact the oil and gas industry
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to organize and work self-sufficiently given direction and resources
- Intermediate level desktop computer skills using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employe
- Physical ability to work in the plant site and accompany regulators on plant tours
- Ability to travel away from Houston overnight periodically, as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Air permitting experience in the oil and gas industry, or consulting environment
- Strong computer skills using simulation programs including PROMAX, GRI-GLYCalc, and AMINECalc
- Demonstration of effective project management skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside the company (regulatory agencies, contractors, consultants)
