Corrosion Technician
MINNIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in pipeline operations, midstream operations, cathodic protection, internal corrosion.
- Ability to attend and pass NACE courses and implement this training into their work.
- Experience in pipeline operations preferred.
- Must be a “Team Player”
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision.
- Imperative that candidates be willing to learn and self –study.
- A strong work ethic
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must meet insurance company motor vehicle record requirements
- Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer skills in Access, Excel and Word.
- Experience with American Innovations Pipeline Compliance System software, Bullhorn Rectifier Remote Monitoring software and Allegro field data terminal and software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
- Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
- Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
