Targa is currently seeking a Construction Manager for their Badlands and Central Assets.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and oversee all field construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget for Badlands Central crude and natural gas pipeline and facility projects.
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of construction schedules, scope of work, and project specifications.
Communicate effectively with other team members (operations, engineering, commercial, contractors, and management).
Possess strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to midstream construction and safety (inclusive of B31.3, B31.8, DOT 192, DOT 195, OSHA, NFPA, and others as required).
Initiate and manage field execution plans to enhance safety, project efficiency, and quality control.
Assure all Targa construction standards, engineering designs, and specifications are met and followed in the field.
Assure State, Federal, and Targa regulations and policies in Safety and Environmental areas are strictly adhered to within area of responsibility, including leading site safety meetings and audits.
Manage overall construction efforts to ensure complete, accurate, and effective project execution support is provided to all stakeholders.
Provide budget support, track field expenditures, and provide project forecasts for assigned area.
Lead or participate in the ongoing development of company construction procedures and standards.
Support, train, and develop field construction personnel and inspectors.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for a degree).
Minimum 10-12 years of experience in construction management, field supervision, or project management within the midstream, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products to include Word and Excel.
Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as contractors and third-party organizations outside the company.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Regular and Reliable Attendance

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Willingness and eagerness to travel away from the home office, overnight, 25% of the time, with the understanding that occasional circumstances may necessitate additional travel.
Regular and reliable attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
12-15 years of experience in midstream construction management and field operations roles.
Experience managing large-scale pipeline and facility construction projects.
Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Project.
OSHA 30 certification or advanced safety training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
Ability to work in changing climate conditions and a plant/field environment. Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex, hard hat, H2S monitor). The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
