Commercial Representative

POSITION SUMMARY:
Targa Resources is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Representative to support its Louisiana Midstream operations. This role is responsible for managing commercial relationships, optimizing asset value, and supporting the strategic growth of Targa’s natural gas and NGL infrastructure in the region. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of midstream commercial operations.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial Strategy & Execution:
Develop and maintain relationships with producers, processors, marketers, and other stakeholders.
Negotiate and manage commercial contracts including gathering, processing, transportation, and marketing agreements.
Provide backup as needed for Louisiana natural gas traders
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow Targa’s footprint in Louisiana.
Operational Coordination:
Collaborate with operations, scheduling, and logistics teams to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery.
Monitor asset performance and customer activity to optimize throughput and revenue.
Market Intelligence & Analysis:
Track regional supply/demand trends, pricing, and competitor activity.
Provide commercial input into capital projects and asset development initiatives.
Customer Service & Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial inquiries and issue resolution.
Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and service excellence.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in midstream commercial operations, marketing, or business development.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial systems (e.g., RightAngle or similar).
Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERREED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in Louisiana natural gas markets.
Familiarity with regulatory and pipeline tariff structures.
Ability to travel regionally and work flexible hours as needed.
